French Toast and Goddess Oolong Tea Breakfast

SAM_3469

I had breakfast again today. And it was very delicious. It consisted of gluten-free bread, with your regular egg, milk, and cinnamon covering, fresh strawberries, plums, and blueberries with crushed almonds.

SAM_3465

Top it off with some maple syrup, and it was a breakfast for the ages.

SAM_3472
To drink, I had Goddess Oolong tea from Adagio’s.

SAM_3474
I got it online for my mom online for her birthday and it tastes so fresh and clean and smooth. It gives energy and helps for losing weight though that wasn’t really a concern of ours. What was a concern was the fact that it also depletes your calcium which we learned only after my mom started losing her nails. It’s a gift to remember.

Just remembering breakfast gives me happy feelings. What did you have for breakfast this morning?

What’s In My Basket?

I am not going to lie. Our baskets are never usually this empty. There are 5 of us (all girls) and we tend to eat a lot. I mean like, $500 worth of food at Costco a lot. I know what you’re thinking. I’m over exaggerating. But, I’m not. Plain and simple. If I didn’t have a life, I’d prove it by going and finding an old receipt, taking a picture of it, and uploading it on here. But that sounds like too much work. And I’m lazy. Don’t judge.

So, we went to Costco recently and bought a handful of groceries to hold us over for a little while because the drive to Costco is not one we like to take often.  The food looked so healthy and ritzy after we bought it, I had to take a picture of it. Take note that everything you see here is natural, organic (if we can help it it), and gluten-free.

After this yummy-delicious, healthy, organic, natural food, we ate pizza.

New post next week. 🙂 Sage

Have Breakfast With Me, Yeah?: Greek Yogurt with Fresh Fruit

Picture6 I swear… The things we do out of boredom. In all honesty, my favorite one is the one in the top right corner. What about you? Awe, you agree with me? What are the odds?!? I’m just kidding. Maybe… Picture7 Anyways, yogurt. That’s what this is. Greek Strawberry and Goji Berry yogurt. And the rat poop on top? Those are chia seeds and they’re quite delicious. Then there’s almonds, candied almonds, Dang coconut chips, fresh strawberries, bananas, blackberries, and raspberries, and then some pecotas and raw honey. Uhm, yum. Picture8 Oh and pears. You cant forget the pears. Drizzle a little more honey on top and you’ve got yourself the bombdest breakfast like ever. Picture9 Picture10 Totally off topic… Why is wordpress making me insert text before my picture? It’s so annoying… Is it just me, or what? I’m going to see if I can fix this with the next post…아이씨, 진짜! Also, finals coming up. I won’t be able to post quite as often as I’d like to but I am still going to try! So hang with me! Thank you guys! 고마워요!

Guess What I Made: Hoddeoks 호떡 (This Is Not A Recipe, This Is Me Showing Off.)

호떡. Hoddeok. Hotteok. Otherwise known as, delicioustemptingscrumptiousmouthwateringfingerlickin’good. Which is why I am scheduled to make them again tomorrow. Yay for me. Note: Sarcasm. But in the end it’s totally worth it because, I mean, look at this:

Picture1

Uhm, yah. Tell me it’s not worth it. You can’t. Because it is. All of the manual labor of mixing and stuffing and frying and eating for hours and hours on end. Totally… worth it… maybe… No I’m just kidding. They totally are.

Doesn’t it look like I’m just trying to feed it to you? Well I’m not, because I ate this piece. Now, kiss it Good Bye.

No doubt it’ll miss you too. NOT. I’m just kidding. Maybe…

Have Lunch With Me, Yeah?: Takeout Sushi Pt. 2

Okay so this is probably going to be one of the shortest posts I’ve made because I didn’t get much to eat at the mall but it was still delicious so I still took pictures. The only thing is it’s just of the same thing over and over and over again. I chose my favorite 4. You love it right? Yeah, you love it… Picture1 Avocado rolls with cucumber and the regular pickled ginger and wasabi. Yum. I really love wasabi. 진짜.Picture2 Teriyaki Chicken with rice and cabbage. Uh, can somebody say delicioustemptingscrumptiousmouthwateringfingerlickin’good? Cause I know I can’t. I’m kidding. Maybe. The world will never know… Picture3Funny thing is, I don’t even like sushi. But this? This was totally worth it. Picture4

Have Breakfast With Me, Yeah?

Picture1

This is the beginning of a new section I call “Have Breakfast With Me, Yeah?” Where I post pictures of mine (and on special occasions, other peoples) yummy breakfast. It will blow your mind.

Picture2

Besides the blurry resolution, on the menu today is, Green tea with honey and rice milk, Oatmeal with fresh blueberries, honey, rice milk, and sea salt, fresh avocado and smoked salmon on wheat sourdough bread with a side of fresh baby carrots, cherry/grape tomatoes, and apples with peanut butter.  This was my mom’s breakfast. You wouldn’t catch me dead or alive eating avocado. But I had something similar, it just wasn’t as pretty.

The green tea we got was bright green when we boiled/steeped it and came with green tea leaf shavings in it. That’s what’s on top.  I don’t know why but whenever I drink something that is meant to give me energy (such as green tea or coffee) it does the exact opposite. I get drowsy and end up taking a 24 hour nap. But when I drink something that is supposed to put me to sleep or relax me (such as sleepy-time tea) I get all of the energy in the world. Am I the only one? I probably am.  *Forever Alone ;(* *Just Kidding* *not* *maybe* Here it is without milk:

And oatmeal. Every kids worst nightmare. And blueberries. My worst nightmare. JK. Maybe.

Fromage de Brie et Les Sandwiches Délicieux (Brie Cheese and Delicious Sandwiches)

Did you know brie cheese is French? Well, it is. It’s named after the Brie region of France (hence the French title). This is probably common knowledge but I learned it in my French class so now it’s new and amazing knowledge. My gift to you. Be amazed!

Picture1

Brie cheese. Have you ever had it before? It’s delicious if you haven’t and you need to. It kind of tastes like butter and atop one of the nasty, tasteless crackers (I’m kidding they’re not that gross) they taste even better.

Picture2

Turkey meat– with none of those nasty preservatives (that needs to be fried or deveined or something), mozzarella cheese, and tomatoes that you can’t see in this picture. Plus:

Picture3

Five different types of lettuce. I don’t know them all but I see arugula and butter lettuce.

Picture4

Equals a darn good sandwich on wheat, gluten-free bread.

Picture5

Picture7I’m not sure… but I think I took this picture upside down. Too much Kombucha?

Picture10

Picture8

Now, these aren’t your typical meat and cheese sandwiches. They are open-faced sandwiches with fresh tomato, Queso cheese, and basil with a drizzle of olive oil on top of thick, rye bread that soft and moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. In the name of 30-Minute Meals I say, “Yumm-o!”

Picture9

They’re not only delicious but gorgeous as well. Sounds like the perfect boyfriend… I’m just kidding.  Kind of.

Starbucks Oatmeal and Sweet Stuff (Baked Goods)

It seems as though I am on a Starbucks kick this month…

Picture1I got the same type of tea, because, well I like it.  And the oatmeal came with fresh blueberries, mixed nuts, a seed medley with dried cranberries, agave syrup (BEWARE: DO NOT CONSUME AGAVE NECTAR/ SYRUP IT HAS MORE FRUCTOSE THAN CORN SYRUP. Not good.), and brown sugar.

Picture2

Picture3

So… there’s the little bakery in a small town about an hour away from us and the make the cutest little (and big) pies and pastries. I’m going to be completely honest, I don’t really like sweets all that much (unless its chocolate and it’s a certain time of the month) but boy were these babies photogenic! Don’t believe me? See for yourself:

Picture4We got small cherry pies, a large cherry pie, these little cream cheese pastries with blueberries and a black berry/ raspberry medley on top, and a carrot cake with walnuts and cream cheese frosting. Picture5

I think these pretty little things speak for themselves…

Picture6STOP!! Okay, now, imagine this: A large twelve inch cherry pie with buttery, light, flakey crust topped with the slightest layer of sugar that just melts into a pool of yummy sweetness in your mouth with every bite. As you slowly cut into it the crust cracks, and sweet (slightly tangy), gooey cherries gush from the center and a saccharine aroma wafts up to hug your nose. Now… sit back and really think about it. If you ever find a pie like that don’t hesitate to tell me about it. ( ooh, burn. :p)

Picture7Remember what I said about them being photogenic? Well, get ready for a cherry pie slide show.
